ETA: For whatever reason, I get a large volume of e-mail about this quilt, so I wanted to add a couple of things to this post . . .
Unfortunately, I cannot provide a list of the fabrics used, nor are they available as a kit. As of this writing, the quilt was made almost two years ago and the majority of fabrics (including the green solid) are no longer available. The animal print is Alexander Henry 2D Zoo, which was recently reprinted in several colors.
This pattern (Simple Modern Baby Quilts) was permanently retired in Summer 2010, but has been replaced with an updated pattern called More Simple Modern Baby Quilts. The new pattern doesn't involve Minky or animal appliques, but does include additional piecing styles, including matching pieced backs. If you're looking for applique instructions, you can find them here.
The first sample quilt features Alexander Henry's 2D Zoo fabric and a kiwi cotton/linen blend solid.
The giraffe applique (one of four applique shapes included with the pattern) is made with polyester felt made from recycled plastic.
The quilt is backed with white Minky Dot and bound with Michael Miller's Dumb Dot in chocolate.
The other cotton prints are all blues and greens that match the various colors used in the 2D Zoo print.
