This is part of a series of posts about the quilts from Modern Patchwork. I'm highlighting a different quilt each month, and will be remaking each of the book quilts in some way. This month, I made a neon version of the Honey Quilt. You can see my earlier post about it here.
I had all kinds of plans for photographing this finished quilt, some of which may have involved a black light, but I ended up finishing it just in time to meet my shipping deadline, so I had to settle for a quick photo shoot complete with a lot of dead leaves. (Why all the dead leaves at this time of year?!)

I'm skipping ahead in the book this month to the Honey Quilt. This is the one that's on the front cover. I also made a larger version, Honey in Space, for the QuiltCon show.

Last week, I talked about my plan for making a "back-as-front" version of my Fire Drill quilt. The quilt top I ended up making is still based on the back of Fire Drill, but I switched things up a little bit (including going with a white background instead of the linen I had planned to use).

I am a bit behind on my Modern Patchwork project, but I'm picking it back up this month with Fire Drill, which is on Pages 52 - 61.
It's been hard not showing photos of the construction of this quilt on my blog! This is my Honey in Space quilt, which I made specifically for the QuiltCon show. It measures about 72" x 72".

Right now, I'm playing catch-up with this holiday version of the Rapid City quilt (Pages 42 - 51 in Modern Patchwork). My previous posts about this project are here and here.
I feel a little silly posting this one so long after Christmas, but it's one more card off the wall, so here we go!

Right now, I'm playing catch up with a quilt top and back that I finished some time ago. I used my Glam Garlands pattern, but integrated elements of Alissa Haight-Carlton's Drip Quilt from Modern Minimal. Here are links to my posts about the mashup concept, making the blocks, making the quilt top, and making the quilt back.
It wasn't by the end of 2012 as I'd hoped, but I did finally finish this quilt and a few of its WIP cousins, which I'll be showing on the blog this week.

I'm making progress on the Rapid City holiday quilt that I started last week.

The Rapid City quilt is so named because it was inspired by Vandamm's (James Mason's) awesome Mt. Rushmore-adjacent hideout in North by Northwest.

This month, the featured quilt from Modern Patchwork is Neighborhood, which appears on Pages 34 - 41. I made a pillow version using a single block, and you can find my post about making the block here.
