I'm currently remaking some version of each quilt in my book, Modern Patchwork. This post is the first about a new version of my Happy Hour quilt. You can read more about the project, including links to the previous installments and a schedule for those remaining, here. Find more posts about the Color Blocks Happy Hour Quilt here.
Like the front, the back of my Color Blocks Happy Hour quilt is mostly bright solid fabric. The oranges are Kona Flame and Carrot, and the skinny strips dividing the space are Essex yarn-dyed in Flax.
I made a patchwork panel with pieces of the same fabrics I used on the front of the quilt. Each of the 49 finished rectangles are 2" x 6".
Unfortunately, this top and back aren't going to be quilted until after I'm done moving. I'll be starting work on August's project in the meantime, and will be sure to post photos of this one as soon as it's finished!
