It was recently my turn to work on Penny's Traveling Quilt!
Penny's theme is "grow," and the blocks bring to mind gardens and the outdoors.
(I used my usual method for this, which you can read more about in the Little Leaves quilt in Practical Guide to Patchwork or the Owl Eyes quilt in Modern Patchwork.)
None of the blocks for this quilt had been sewn together yet, so I decided to go for it. I really liked the patchwork strips on Ashley's block and so I used similar patchwork strips in green, teal, and brown to create sashing/spacing around the blocks.
This bee is just so much fun! I always look forward to seeing the next quilt!
