Hi, everyone! I'm finally recovering from a terrible Fall cold and I have quite a few finished projects to share. The first is this quilt that I made for QuiltCon.
This quilt is called Marmalade and it measures 72" x 92". The pattern for this quilt will be part of the goodie bags at QuiltCon. For those of you who can't make it to QuiltCon, I'll be selling the pattern in my shop after the event.
The big news is that the quilt itself will go home with one lucky QuiltCon attendee! So, if you're going to be at QuiltCon, be sure to come see the quilt and buy a raffle ticket. Proceeds from the raffle will support The Modern Quilt Guild. (Unfortunately, legal restrictions prevent us from selling tickets elsewhere.)
Here's a detail of the quilt back. If you'd like to see more photos, I've posted some on Flickr.
For the past few months, I've also been coordinating the QuiltCon Block Challenge, which involved hundreds of beautiful blocks and culminated in this beautiful quilt. If you haven't already read all about the QuiltCon Block Challenge, you'll definitely want to read all about it over on the MQG blog.
I still have a couple of spots in my Text Quilts Workshop this coming Saturday, October 13, at Modern Domestic. If you're in Portland, come and learn two different (and fun!) ways to add words and letters to your quilts!
