Hey, remember me? I'm the one who usually blogs here.
So far this summer, I've been to New York, Sisters, and Denver, and I'm leaving this weekend for a visit to Sew Modern and the LAMQG. Whew!
These are some photos that I took when I was in Sisters (Central Oregon) for Quilter's Affair and the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.
That statue of Smokey the Bear at the local ranger station was just begging to be photographed with a quilt and, when you have a quilt called "Fire Drill" on hand, what are you going to do?
Here's a picture that Jen Carlton Bailly took of me wth my Tokyo Subway Map quilt during teacher introductions on Wednesday night.
I've also been working on the two raffle quilts for QuiltCon. That's right. There are TWO of them!
The first one is the one you've probably heard about for the QuiltCon Block Challenge. That quilt will be made out of blocks submitted by quilters from around the world.
The second quilt is a design I created especially for QuiltCon. You can see a peek at the colors/fabrics in the photo above.
The next Modern Patchwork quilt-along/follow-along post will be on Thursday, when I'll start talking about August's quilt, Roller Rink. I know that there are still a couple of Metropolis posts outstanding, but I'll catch up on those as we move into August!
In the meantime, I'm going to have some exciting news to share, hopefully next week. Here's a hint for now.
