That sounds that you hear? It's just me squealing with glee over receiving my advance copy of Modern Patchwork today.
Here's a photo of the Looptastic quilt. You can see a glimpse of some fabric swatches on the opposite page. Each of the patterns includes a little forward like this about how to select fabric for the project.
At the end of each project, there are two mini quilts showing alternate ideas for using the pattern. In many cases, these alternate ideas include a description of how you could make the project from scraps.
Here's a photo of the cover quilt, Honey.
And here are the two alternate versions of it.
The book also includes some really fab style shots of the quilts in action. Here's Escape Artist.
Each of the quilts has a coordinating pieced back. For example, here's the back of the Escape Artist quilt.
Here's Fire Drill.
Several of the patterns in the book use templates, but there's a handy pull-out pattern sheet at the back, so you won't have to deal with enlargements or copy shops or any of that business.
I can't wait until the book is actually out there in people's hands! So, are you excited about it too?!?
