This has been a week of making new class samples! Here are a couple of new versions of my Charm Squares Baby Quilt. If you've never made a quilt before or just want to make a simple project that will walk you through all of the basics, I have two sessions of this class coming up.
I've also updated the free pattern to include both the 5-fabric version we make in my class and the original version that can be made from precut charm squares or scraps. As a bonus, I've added a Twin-size variation that uses 10" squares.

As always, I appreciate your paying attention to my pattern use guidelines.
I have a few spots left in my Mod Mosaic Floor Pillow class. (Tutorial is here.)
There's also a new session of my Crazy Nine Patch Lattice Quilt class. (Tutorial is here.)
And, finally, a new Kitchen Window quilt top class. (Pattern from The Practical Guide to Patchwork.)

Thank you!!

I don't remember the Charm Square Baby Quilt but I love the versions you chose, especially with the straight line quilting.

Elizabeth, thanks so much for all the information and the tutorial on the baby quilt. We have a new baby in the family and I've been wondering what to make for him. This quilt is beautiful!

Okay, seriously. Do you ever sleep? Your class samples are beautiful - one of these days my schedule will open up enough to get into your FMQ class.

Thanks for the updates on the Charm Squares Baby quilt. I am a nurse and last year on my unit alone, there were 7 babies born, all boys. All the babies got beautiful charm squares quilts thanks to this wonderful, easy pattern. All the moms loved them!

This is probably the easiest place to start - I am a beginner at patchwork and quilting - since I have three households that are either expecting or have just given birth. Thank you for a wonderful blog that I have been reading for about a year already!

Wow, I haven't visited for a while - so much to catch up on. Love the mosaic pillow and the charm baby quilts - and I can't wait to start practising my machine quilting. Thanks for the inspiration!!

I love your quilt designs! I've made your charm squares baby quilt, your nine patch lattice quilt and I'm working on your kitchen window quilt. It's cut out and I have to finish the first two before I get too far ahead of myself....

Very inspiring!! But I was wondering:
In the 2nd quilt, what is the brown fabric with the circles? I really like it!

I'm using this pattern to make my first quilt :) I do a lot of sewing, but have never quilted.
What is the appropriate seam allowance for the pattern?
Thanks!!
