I'm posting today to tell you about a fundraiser that Alissa of Handmade by Alissa is currently hosting for Action Kivu. Action Kivu is a nonprofit group that helps women who are victims of the conflict in Eastern Congo. You can read more about them on the Action Kivu website or on Alissa's blog.
Action Kivu helps victims of the conflict in two ways. They run a sewing workshop that teaches women to sew, which leads them to be able to support themselves and their families. They also pay for children to go to school, which is not free in Congo.
In addition to supporting a great cause, you could win some fabulous prizes including the spiral of solid fabrics I showed you last week. Head on over to Alissa's blog to find out more!
