The Mod Sampler Quilt-Along was the first quilt-along I ever did on my blog. To date, there are more than 450 members and 1,000 photos in the Mod Sampler Flickr Pool. I've been overwhelmed by the response to this pattern, and it's been so much fun to see so many different versions of this quilt popping up around blogland!
The original pattern was spread across a whole bunch of different blog posts and some of the instructions were written differently than I would write them today. I've been meaning to update the Mod Sampler instructions into an actual pattern, but just haven't had the time until now.
I'm happy to say that (finally!) if you'd like to make the Mod Sampler, I have a pdf pattern for you. As always, I ask that you please refer to my free pattern guidelines.
I made this sample quilt using Jay McCarroll's Habitat collection and Kona Solids. My sashing is Kona Ash. The other solids are Tomato, Brick, Cerise, Berry, Jade Green, and Glacier.
If you're interested in making a quilt similar to mine, Sew, Mama, Sew has a limited number of fantastic fat quarter bundles of Habitat prints and Kona Solids similar to what I used for this quilt. They're available for sale here.
I also have a bundle of Habitat and Kona scraps that I'd like to send to a reader. To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post before Sunday morning.
And, of course, if you make the Mod Sampler, I'd love to see photos in the Flickr Pool.
