Here's my second block!
These four pieces of Echino were my starting point.
From the 15 I set aside for this quilt, I selected these solids. After the first block, I decided to use a little bit of Ivory in each block, so I included Ivory in the selection.
With some help from Maeby, I made a quick sketch. This time, my concept was to have a bunch of wonky columns.
I started by piecing each of the columns.
Then I squared off the edges, reducing bulk and making it easier to sew the columns together.
Here they are, all sewed together.
And here's the finished block, trimmed to 15" x 15".
I'm loving how this is coming together!
