Hiromi's mini quilt is finished!
I quilted it with simple vertical rows.
There are three rows of stitching running through each column of squares -- one on each side and one in the middle.
l made double-fold binding out of Kona Coal.
Overall, I'm very happy with the way this turned out. I think the quilting is effective for this design.
I just love the colors in this!
I hope you like your quilt, Hiromi. It (and your Quilter's Linen) will be in the mail tomorrow.

Oh, that's so lovely! I would love to do something like this for my husband. He dearly misses Chicago and loves public transportation. Beautiful work!

My boyfriend lives in Boston and I'm thinking that if I made a quilt with the T lines maybe I'd finally understand them. I'm perpetually lost when I go there. Great idea!

The Tokyo Subway quilt looks spectacular on your gray wall. Please tell me you're making one for yourself too.

I agree with Diane above. The quilt DOES look absolutely spectaular on your gray wall! My son and daughter-in-law lived in Portland for five years and we became well acquainted with the max. I'm thinking it might be worthwhile checking that out and making a similar quilt for them.
P.S. I wish I had your lamp too!

Yes ladies, certainly I am the lucky one! The quilt looks so cool. The simple straight quilting line made this quilt look sharp and clean. I swear I will find the best spot for this in my house! I think I should start my version of Tokyo subway map quilt soon before the inspiration fades out. Thank you so much Elizabeth. I can't wait to see the quilt before my eyes!
