This technique is not difficult, but it's trickier than some, so I recommend it for quilters who are already confident free motion quilting with a meandering stitch.
A while ago, I posted about these potholders that I made for a PMQG swap. I had a number of requests for a tutorial, and am just now getting around to writing it up.
I don't know about you, but I have a ridiculous number of batting scraps laying around my sewing room! I decided that I must not be the only one, and that it might be a refreshing change of pace to do a project that used some of these smaller pieces. These pillow covers were the result, and I've written a pattern detailing how I made them.
