Here's another Charm Squares Baby Quilt!
One again, I did wonky line quilting across the entire quilt top.
I love this Flora & Fauna bee print that I used on the back.
Now, here's the "after" part. This is the quilt after a trip through the washer and dryer.
Look at all the pretty rows of crinkles!

Love the crinkle!

Very fun color combo! What batting do you like best for those lovely crinkles?

I agree with both the ladies ahead of me; the color combo is fab and the crinkles make it look so so snuggly and cool!

Beautiful colours!

I really like the colors in the quilt and straight line quilting seems to be getting popular. I need to try it sometime.

This is a gorgeous quilt; I wish I had a bigger version for myself!
The problem with your stuff is that it always makes me want to start up a new project RIGHT.NOW. As if I don't have enough trouble finishing those already in progress.... ;)

It's another great finish.

I love the way you quilted it. And it's amazing how that first wash and drying can transform a quilt!

you don't pre-wash your charm squares, do you?
Thanks for sharing another beautiful quilt!

I am not able to follow your link to the charm square baby quilt ... it says address not valid? Could you tell us what fabric you used for this quilt? Thanks.
Posted by: Char | April 07, 2010 at 06:50 AM
Thanks, everyone!
The link should be fixed now. Fabric used is mostly Flora & Fauna by Patty Young for Michael Miller. The big houndstooth pattern is from Alexander Henry.
Batting is Warm and White, which is what I usually use.
I didn't prewash any of the materials used in this quilt. My squares were cut from yardage so, theoretically, I could have washed the yardage first.
However, precut charm squares (or any other kind of precut fabric) should NOT be prewashed, as they can get really messy in the wash.

Even though I think you cannot possibly make a more amazing piece than the last one I saw...You do it every-time! Thank you for the inspiration. Your eye for color is truly wonderful.

I am so excited. I am doing a bigger quilt in this same style with the Alexander Henry starlings fabric. Every time I see one you have made it makes me even more excited to get started on this one. the fabric should be here by next week!It is going to be a very pink/red quilt.

Once again a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing the before and after for it. Sometimes I could a little nervous and a little guilty about not pre-washing my fabrics and batting before assembling the quilt. BUT from the results I see from your quilts and the ones that I've made also, I'm beginning to get a little more confident about not pre-washing.
Keep up the great work!

I totally love this pattern. I've made one top, yet to be quilted, and I see another in the very near future. It goes together so quickly! Thanks for the inspiration.
