Week Nine Paintbox Blocks

This week I got to my least favorite color, purple.

 

I have almost no purple scraps, so the purple blocks are a little scrappier than I would like!

Here are my variation blocks.  Just 8 more to go!

Because I'm behind with these blocks, the Week 10 Blocks are coming tomorrow, with the Quilt Top piecing directions coming later in the week.

Love them, and I am excited to see week 10 tomorrow. I am almost done with all of mine-- in fact, going off-line to finish them up now!!

I don't have very much purple either. And guess what? I just signed up for a purple fabric swap? What was I thinking?? I'm a little behind so maybe by the time I get to my purple blocks I'll have more to choose from...

Anyway the block with the little bird in the center is too cute.

I just LOVE the paintbox quilt idea - I may have a go at joining in. It looks FANTASTIC and a great way to use up scraps.
