5/19/10 Update: An expanded version of this pattern is now available in my shop. The pattern includes a baby quilt, this lap quilt version, and Twin and Queen bed versions.
5/25/10 Update: Read about using Darlene Zimmerman's "Fat Cats" ruler instead of the translucent plastic template here.
It's time for another quilt pattern!
As a friendly reminder, this pattern may not be republished on other sites or message boards. Please link to this blog post so people can download their own copy. Thank you!
The tutorial includes basic cutting and piecing information. If you need more construction basics, click on the "quilts" button in the right column to download tutorials for sandwiching, free-motion quilting, and binding.
This is a small lap quilt (51" x 55") that uses 12 fat quarters and a little bit of solid sashing to make a series of wavy rows.
A bundle of the same 12 fat quarters that I used is available from Fabricworm. Fabricworm is also giving away one of the bundles to a lucky reader! To enter, comment on this post before Wednesday morning at 8:00 am, Pacific.
Besides more standard quilting cottons, the bundle includes dobby cotton voile from Anna Maria Horner's Little Folks collection. I pieced and quilted the voile just as I did the rest of the quilting cottons, using a microtex/sharp needle to be a little gentler on the finer voile.
I used Kona Ivory for my sashing and a warm brown Shot Cotton that I had on hand for the binding. (Binding is similar in color to Kona Cinnamon.)
As always, I love to see things you've made from my tutorials in the Flickr Group.

Awesome! Thanks!
