Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and nice words about my recent career change. I'm looking forward to getting right into things (finishing some new patterns, making some new quilts, etc.). Unfortunately, I have to start with a massive cleanup and reorganization of my sewing room -- never as much fun as sewing, but totally necessary!
In the meantime, I wanted to post a teaser photo of these awesome Kona Roll-Ups. (Currently 35% off at Fabric Depot. Scroll down on the linked page.) Sold out!
Check back on Friday for more about what I plan to do with them. Hint: It involves a new, improved Paintbox Quilt and a quilt-along!

Wow all those little bundles makes me want more! Looking forward to your quilt-along.

Me too!! The sewing shed was so messy after all the christmas sewing! All I want to do is sew, but the organization is such a necessity. Congrats on getting to do this full time. You are really very talented and have found your calling. Yay!
:)

I want to dive into your first photo, scoop them up in my arms and make a break for it!

Look at those rolls!
Posted by: Michelle | January 06, 2010 at 05:12 PM
Darn it! Those rolls and the sale just made my break my resolution not to buy more fabric! But the purchase was in support of one of my other goals, which is to use more solids in my quilts. So I'm conflicted. But I'm sure I won't be when I get my package. Thanks for the tip!

Ooooo - thanks for the sale tip on the Roll-ups! I'd been eyeing them forever and 35% off is a green light to buy them!!! Can't wait to see what you do with them :)

My husband just lectured me about how I shouldn't order those fabric rolls, but I have to anyway.

OOhhhhhh!!! When I see shots of all your fabric like this I wanna hate you so bad, but I just can't!! You're too cool! hahahaaaaaaa! Can't wait to see what you have planned! <3

I just checked back in with you and saw the news about your career change. I am so pleased for you, and can't wait to see what you are able to accomplish with more time -- I was always astounded that you could be so productive while working full time! The map of the states quilt is lovely! Thanks for the Fabric Depot tip. I was just in Portland for the holidays but wasn't able to make the annual pilgrimage to FD :-(.

I so wish I had time for a quilt along. :o( I have to finish school before I can even think about starting another project! *sigh* ... and then it will be my turn to organize my sewing space. It never ends, does it? At least I'll have your blog to keep me going - I'll be following along in spirit!

another quilt along!!! wow... count me in too... all your fabrics make me so envious... i dont get good ones here and have to search a lot for them... so i've turned to recycling my old clothes... i usually buy cotton and its really good stuff, so i got rid of all my old dresses that dont fit me any more and have cut them into fat quarters to use when needed... i wish i lived in a different place so that i could also have all that fabric u guys get...

Kayla,
Theres a notice about the sale at the top of the page and the sale price is reflected in the shopping cart. (Just add an item to the shopping cart to see the adjusted price.)

Yes! I love your quiltstyle, and exp the colour box. I just ordered the Kona color card from pink chalk. Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve, I've never done a quilt along before.
