I finished Megan's blocks for May!
She asked for wonky/improvisationally pieced log cabin blocks with skinny strips.
Both blocks include Alexander Henry's Spoted Owl print, which is totally adorable.
This one is my favorite.
I especially like this little fussy-cut owl!
Megan, these will be in the mail to you tomorrow. I hope you like them!

Owls and spots! What a great combination. I'm sure she is going to love these!
I am still wokring up the nerve and trying to get the time, to try my first log cabin.

What kind of pattern is that? I love the wonky look, but i am not sure if there is a pattern for it or if it is just made up.

LOVE! I've been trying to figure out the name of that blue fabric with white squares with with black dots in the middles. And also the pink with yellow ovals. What are they?

Love the owls. I am getting the lame alcohol-induced tattoo on my back covered with some rendition of an owl. These are cute little guys.

Your quilting projects are always so inspiring. I love to follow your posts. You force me to want to do things with all of the vintage sheets I've collected over the years.

The owls remind me of "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop?" They turned out very cute!
