It didn't even occur to me that those photos made it look like the suprise project had something to do with sudoku. It doesn't!
So, here's another photo. This one features George-Michael, who decided to try to scare me to death yesterday. I was standing and working a few feet from my cutting table, with my back to the table. George-Michael, as is his wont, was roaming around the room crying for attention. He eventually climbed up onto my cutting table and, when I continued to ignore him, he jumped from the table onto my shoulder. I wasn't really expecting a cat to land on me, so much yelling and clawing resulted. It was the craziest thing!

That'll learn you to ignore an attention seeking putty tat! LOL :-)
So what is to become of these stripey nine patches?

Ha! They are smarter than they look aren't they?
My sister cat-sat her in-laws cat. She called me, horrified, because the cat had done the same thing, claws and all. It especially liked to get her when she got home from work. Nothing like a cat jumping on your shoulder as soon as you walk through the door!

LOL - Have you ever seen the Simon Cat videos? http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=simonscat&view=videos You might identify!
Hope you didn't get too many scratches.

My cat often did that - it was his fav. perching spot. I was often on the phone, looked up and had a cat flying toward me spread eagled! Bless!

I'm curious .... I follow my favorite blogs (you are) via google.com/reader Now when you pop up in the reader with a new posting none of your photos show ... do you know why? If I want to see the photos I have to hop over to your actual blog. I'm just curious if you know why.

Where did you get those lovely madras plaids?! There is nothing like that at my local JoAnne's or Hancock's. Can't wait to see what you're up to!

Was that picture the calm before or after the storm?!? Mr kitty looks so sweet and innocent, like nothing's going on here... and as we all know, that can change in a split second! Can't wait to see what you are working on.

I just need to say that 'George-Michael' and 'Maeby' are *hilarious* names for cats. That's one of the funniest shows ever, and your cat names make me smile ;-)

Well we know you're using the vintage sheet scraps for AmandaJean's nine-patch quilt along...could it be that you've devised a nine-patch pattern sheet or way of laying out your fabrics to make your blocks? Like how you did the Mod Sampler with cards?
I'm using your card method for my nine-patch so this is why I wonder...

Almost as alarming: My kitty was riding around on my shoulders one morning as I was getting ready for work, then suddenly and silently she wasn't there anymore... I turned to see her perched on the top edge of the closet door.

Have another guess...you're using the shirt as your pattern for a vest?

When I saw the grid with the numbers, right away I figured it was some sort of layout/planner for placing the fabrics (which you numbered) to make some blocks. I too would really like to know where you got the madras fabrics. My hubby has a couple of shirts I'm dying to sink my fangs into! They're size 4X too, so there'd be lots of fabric! HAHAHAAA!

I agree I would love to get my hands on that madras flannel, where ever did you find it?

Cats! My cello instructors cat jumped onto my shoulder from behind me while I was playing, then it proceeded to try to catch the end of my bow which was zipping back and forth! Thanks to having 4 kids flying around me while I play, I was able to keep right on playing. :)
