I've finally recovered from bronchitis, which I've had for the last month or so. Do you know the biggest problem with being sick for weeks? No, it's not the fact that I watched Point Break on television on three separate occasions. (Though that is, admittedly, a close second.) It's that I couldn't actually do much of anything, but I continued to add to my list of things that need to be done!
Among other things, I'm working on finishing this quilt. I still haven't decided what fabric I want to use for my color-coded spiderweb, but I have the diagram that I drew ready to go as soon as I do. I've finally succumbed to the lure of English paper piecing and ordered a set of 500 hexagon papers that I'm going to try to work on during my commute. I also have some great Kokka robot fabric that I'm going to use to make a messenger bag for my nephew's fourth birthday. And I still haven't started my Project Improv Quilt or my Coin Quilt Piece-Along Quilt. I'm feeling kind of overwhelmed here!
My strategy right now is to finish all little projects that are laying around my sewing room before moving on to finishing the Clothesline and Hedgerow patterns. I have so much going on right now that I honestly don't have a new projected finish date for these two patterns. I'll just plan on posting about my progress as I work through all these projects!
In the meantime, keep a lookout for my April Fabric Focus article/tutorial for Sew, Mama, Sew! next Monday. (I'll give you a hint. It's a new bag pattern.)

I am in awe of all that beautiful fabric!!

I've missed you, sorry you've been sick, bronchitis is awful, I used to get it alot as a kid. You're such a tease showing off all that gorgeous fabric, Heather Bailey and Valori Wells, two of my faves! Take it easy on yourself, you'll be back sewing up a storm in no time. :-)

It might help you to feel better if you threw all those stacks in a box and sent them to me. You know, pay if forward for good karma and all that.
;)

I was wondering what happened to you! You are such an inspiration! After all of your quilt along posts, you were sort of gone for a while...I was thinking maybe you got some well deserved book contract...I never thought you might be under the weather! I so hope you're feeling better!Your (last summer) vintage quilt swap inspired me to amass my own collection of vintage sheets...what fun! I have since put together my first quilt top, and am trying to get up the nerve to stipple quilt it...wish me luck! But first, thanks for all the great tutorials! Hope you're feeling better soon!

Oooh, oooh, what size are your hexes for the English Paper Piecing? I've got some that I've been itching to work on, maybe I'll do them along with you...

So totally stinky of me, I didn't even tell you how glad I am that you're over the bronchitis. I'm sick right now, too, and so is my 4 year old. Double ear infection for her, no fun at all. Hope you're able to start getting caught up on that list now.

Just found your blog through whipup.net. I wanted to thank you for sharing the quilt-along posts with the rest of the world. So helpful and inspiring!

Ooohhh...English paper pieced hexagons - my most favourite things in the whole world!!! I travel 45 mins each way to work on the train and always have a paper pieced projectct on the go. Small and portable with the added bonus of being a conversation point, so have had lovely conversations with people who otherwise i probably wouldn't have spoken to. Have fun!!!

Enjoy the English Paper piecing - I started doing that when I was on bedrest for a pregnancy and LOVED it, it becomes very hard not to show off what you've made!

Point Break is one of those movies that Hubby will watch if it is on, no matter how many times he's seen it. That and The Hunt for Red October. For me it is The Thomas Crown Affair (the Pierce Brosnan one). Glad you are feeling better.
PS Isn't that robot fabric great! I just used it on a baby quilt for my nephew.
