It's really bugging me that the satin bias tape strip on the right is wonky, but I've decided to post the photo anyway! Today's wristlet is Style A1 again, but with several modifications.
I substituted the interlining for fusible fleece, so that I could make the back from quilted satin.
I've been getting lots of questions about where to buy hardware. For the purposes of this pattern/tutorial I used only hardware I could find at JoAnn. These consist of d-rings, which are sold in packs of four on the notions wall, and swivel hooks and split rings, which are with the jewelry supplies. I'm not sure what kind of jewelry gets made with swivel hooks and split rings, but that's where JoAnn keeps them. (Do boondoogle keychains count as jewelry?) Anyway, since I know that the right hardware isn't always easy to find, I'm also including with the pattern instructions for a "hardware free" handle, which I used on this wristlet.
My final modification was to patchwork piece the front panel and embellish it with satin bias tape and a yo-yo and vintage button detail.
I was happy to discover how well this Amy Butler Charm fabric went with the Kaufman Hot Couturier that I used for the exterior!
This is the kind of fusible fleece I use. Despite the claim on the package that it's the "same great product as on [the] bolt" my experience, regardless of where I buy it, has been that the stuff on the bolt is much thicker and makes for kind of shapeless bags. The stuff in the packages like this is usually pretty thin (about the same thickness but slightly lighter weight than wool felt) which I like because you can get a quilted detail without having your bag look like it's made out of a baby blanket. I'm sure that you really can buy this variety of fusible fleece on the bolt somewhere. I just haven't ever seen it.
So there's Wednesday's wristlet. Thank you, everyone, for all your kind comments this week. I was amazed how many of you entered the giveaway and will be announcing the winners this Friday. Stay tuned!

Once again, simply gorgeous. Thanks for sharing specific info on which hardware/fusible fleece you use.

I love this one too!
I get my hardware from jcarolinecreative.com - she has good prices for d-rings and swivel hooks. :-)

All of this great inspiration really makes me want to sew up a bunch of wristlets! I smell Christmas gifts.... You're really cranking out some beautiful fabric combinations.
I've come across the kind of fusible fleece you're talking about on the bolt at Joann's, but it's hit and miss. I happened to be looking for the higher loft kind at the time, and ended up with this, and then ended up loving it for exactly the reason you mention.

I love your details! The flower is great, the satin bias tape is beautiful -- did you make it? And thanks for the fleece tip!

I love this one! It's perfect...I was disappointed that it wasn't available in your Etsy store. Guess I'll have to buy a pattern.
