Giveaway Winners

Quite a few of you asked me where I was able to find "good" vintage sheets and pillowcases and expressed some frustration that your local thrift stores didn't seem to have anything.  I know what you mean!  I had to go to quite a few different stores before I found anything I liked.  If you're in the Portland area, I would suggest the Value Village in Tigard.  Almost eveything in the above photo was purchased there.  I've also been able to find some things on Etsy and ebay.

There were also a couple of questions about getting rid of that thrift store smell.  I've been washing in hot water with Borax and that seems to work well.  There are a lot of good suggestions in the comments to this post too.  Many people suggest hanging the linens in the sunshine.  I'm looking forward to trying that when we finally get some!
