It's no fun to be sick!
But it's fun to get mail. I must apologize for not posting or, more importantly, responding to anyone's comments or questions during the last week. I have been sick and, almost exclusively, in bed the entire time. This is probably the nastiest cold/flu I've had in a long while, but I'm sorting through my mailbox and will hopefully be on top of things shortly.
The above fabric from Sew, Mama, Sew is from Jackie Sharpiro's Botanical Pop series for Windham. I received it about a week ago and am not sure yet what I'll do with it. (If history is any indication, I'll probably cut it all up and use little bits of it in 50 different projects.)
Here's Maeby with the mobile I received from Jennifer Stack. I wish that I could link to Jennifer's blog or Flickr. Unfortunately, I don't have any of her information. If you're reading this, THANK YOU Jennifer! I love the little birds and the turquoise and yellow color scheme.
Here's a close-up of one of the birds. (I'm pretty sure they're the ones from Last Minute Patchwork and Quilting.) If you haven't already, check out the Flickr Group for the Mobile Swap. There are some pretty impressive projects there.
I'm also waaaaay overdue in posting about this lovely package I received from Cheri of Tinker With This. I correctly guessed what her WIP was (a patchwork scarf) and, as a result, won a giveaway she was having. Thank you, Cheri! I love the fabrics and buttons you picked and the little earrings are so cute!
Finally, I now have no excuse not to make my husband a new quilt, because I found this awesome 1970's NBA bed sheet on e-bay. The Seller dated it as approximately 1973 (which Chris confirms, based upon the team logos). It's in amazing shape, doesn't smell funny and will be the back of a quilt soon. (Okay. Maybe I should say "at some point.")

Man, I was that sick last year...the whole house was. Poor ds was taking care of all of us, lol. I wouldn't wish that on ANYONE!
Good find on that sheet!! It's so hard to find anything that will be a hit with the guys like that!
