This is terrific! Your fabric combinations are lovely and construction very professional as usual. Thanks so much for the tutorial - this is something that was on my list of things to make, and yours is much nicer than what I was planning.

I love it! I need one in my son's room! And the patchwork pattern is so nice. Thank you for the tutorial. :)

Regina

What a great idea!

New to your blog but really loving your style (and the cats)!

Elizabeth

Thank you so much, everyone!

Thanks! I have been using a plastic jar filled with pennies as a doorstop, but this is much better.

This looks like an awesome, easy to follow tutorial. I plan to make one of these for my office door (I have an ugly wedge doorstop now). Thanks.

Jennifer

I am so ready to make a bunch of these now that our Austin weather is already in the 80's - I can open the doors and windows in the mornings! - just need to round up the supplies! One change that I plan on making, though, is to contain the beans in a removable bean-bag liner the same shape. I have three sons ranging in age from 9 weeks to 3 years old and I just KNOW I'd have one of them shoving beans up their nose (or ear or brother's nose)! I still want the cover to be washable but I don't want to land in the ER!

Julia

Great project! I put the beans into a ziploc-type bag-easier to take them out when I clean the doorstop.

This is a great idea! I'll make a bunch--my doors slam shut anytime there's a breeze...and I love to have them open. Thanks for the tutorial--clear and very well done!
